Blood Drive with Madison Park Community Council

Summer at Bloodworks starts now. With schools on summer break, the 4th of July holiday, and summer vacations, we will see a sharp downturn in blood donations: 15% fewer peopleIt is incredibly difficult to generate enough donations during the summer, yet the need for blood never takes a vacation. Will you help us prepare for this tough season by donating at our upcoming blood drive?

MVCC Meeting - Annual Elections

Join us at the MLK FAME auditorium at 7pm on June 20th for our annual community council elections. We'll be electing up to ten board members, four of whom will be officers (president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer).

If you're interested in running for any of these positions, please send us a quick bio so we can share with our members in advance of the meeting. (If you'd rather just come to the meeting and announce your candidacy, that's fine, too.)

We'll also be presenting our annual financial report and covering a few other topics that will be announced closer to the meeting date.

MVCC Public Meeting on April 19th

Save the date! We'll be having our next meeting of the Madison Valley Community Council on April 19th. We have not yet confirmed the location, but we'll do so at least two weeks before the meeting both here and via email and Facebook.

We'll be talking about the revised draft of the bylaws, and if there are no major issues, we'll also vote on ratifying them. Discussion of increasing the restricted parking zones in our neighborhood is also on the agenda. More topics will be posted here as we get closer to the date.

MVCC Quarterly Meeting on March 8th at MLK FAME Community Center

Join us for the quarterly meeting of the Madison Valley Community Council on March 8th at the MLK FAME Center. Some of the agenda items we'll be covering:

  • Reviewing and ratifying our new by-laws, which you can browse on this site
  • Electing any new board members interested in joining us
  • BRT Presentation with Q & A session
  • Map Your Neighborhood with Stephen Smith
  • Brief discussion of grants we've received and what we might want to apply for
