Thanks to all the brave souls who came to the Community Council's winter event -- Art in the Park -- on a cold Saturday in December at the Julia Lee Park. The very talented Seattle Women's Steel Pan Project entertained us for about an hour. A neighbor kindly rolled over an outdoor heater and that, the hot cocoa and cookies, and the music made for enjoyable time. At one point, some of the kids and a couple of adults formed a conga line around the drums -- a good way to warm up. This event was make possible with a grant from the Seattle Parks Department's Art in the Park.
